MSHA Citations
The United States Department of Labor’s Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) inspects each surface mine at
least twice a year and each underground mine at least four times a year. As shown below, citations per inspection at
Martin Marietta operations are significantly lower than the aggregates, cement and lime industry average.
