ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE AND SHRIMP

          BOIL RAISES RECORD TOTAL FOR

          HOUSTON CHARITY

For nearly a decade, the Gulf Coast District Sales Team has
combined its customer appreciation efforts with a focus on
community well-being by hosting an annual Food Drive and Martin Marietta employees work with a Houston-
area charity to help make a difference in the lives of
Shrimp Boil. those struggling to make ends meet.
The 2019 event resulted in the group collecting a record
7,534 pounds of food and personal care items for a local
charity, Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM). HAAM
strives to assist community members in crisis by providing
essential resources along with education and employment
services. The organization had a tremendous community
impact in 2019, providing 67,580 in-need individuals with
food in the Northeast Houston area.

“Lifting up community members in need
presents a message of unity and strength
among Martin Marietta, our customers, and
                    our Gulf Coast area neighbors.”

“Being able to give back to our surrounding communities
is an honor,” said Sales Representative Chris Burger.
“Lifting up community members in need strengthens the
unity that exists among Martin Marietta, our customers and
          our Gulf Coast area neighbors.”
Gulf Coast District Sales Coordinator Charlcey Taylor said
the event is more than just a great way to give back to the
community. It’s a great way to show appreciation to some
of the people who matter most.

“Our customers love giving back to
                    our community. We nearly tripled
                    the donation amounts from the
                    previous year.”

“We invite our customers and haulers as a way to say
thank you and to let them know that we appreciate
them,” said Taylor. “Our customers love giving back to
our community. We nearly tripled the donation amounts
          from the previous year.”
The 2019 event was a record-breaking success, but
Taylor has no doubt that the 2020 event will be even
          better.
